BARBARIC torture punishments are being handed out by Russian commanders to their own troops accused of desertion and failing to follow orders.

Chilling footage shows one mutinous fighter taped to a tree upside down in the biting cold near Vladimir Putin’s cannon fodder front line.

Another – also tethered to a tree – is forced to eat snow by his superior officer.

The frightened and shaking men wore only underwear after being stripped of their winter uniforms.

Their foul-mouthed commander is heard barking: “[They] wanted to **** off from their positions, not follow orders.”

Forcing snow into the mouth of the refusenik, the raging officer adds: “Eat, you ****ing *****.”

One of the taped men pleads in desperation, “it won’t happen again” and “I’m sorry, please”.

The Putin officer taunts the men throughout the footage, mocking their sexuality.

The torture method seems to be popular with Putin’s commanders.

Last week footage released on Telegram showed a “field tribunal” of two men accused of stealing their commanders cannabis, taped to trees in their underwear.

Throughout the raging conflict Vladimir Putin has become increasingly desperate in his bid to defeat Ukraine, often at the expense of his troops.

Wheelchair-bound, amputee and injured soldiers all have been sent to the front line by Putin.

The savage penalties come as peace talks continue without a clear signal from Putin that he intends to halt his almost four year invasion of Ukraine.

Russian Generals are ordered to “drive forward” and “invent new types of torture” to keep their exhausted personnel in line, Nevzorov Telegram channel wrote in a post.
