UKRAINIAN GLORY

Chris Snow on Russia’s Helpless Flailing

At Medium, Chris Snow shows how badly Russia is flailing militarily.  Excerpt:

The Ukrainian head of state says that Russia’s assault is falling far short of what its commanders had promised Moscow.

According to him, Russia mobilizes roughly 40,000–45,000 men every month. Notably, the net gains of Russia turned net negative in February. Russia lost 37 square kilometers of territory in Ukraine last month. Researchers from the Economist assume that their total losses sit between 1.1 and 1.4 million casualties.

According to the commander of the Ukrainian ground forces General Syrsky, Russian losses have exceeded the number of new recruits for three straight months.

The logic of Ukraine’s strategy is simple. Zelenskyy argues that Ukraine must eliminate roughly the same number to prevent the Russian army from growing. Ukrainian forces appear to have found a way to do so — namely by decimating Russian troops in a relentless, full-scale drone war. In effect, the Russian spring offensive broke down before it could properly begin.

What follows now is a closer look at the most important developments of the past two months.

1, Energy blackouts from Murmansk to Belgorod.

2. Striking the arteries of Russian oil infrastructure. Volga region, Kaleykino oil pumping station, Druzhba pipeline node, and Afipsky refinery.

3. The Shadow Fleet Problem: Stateless Oil in a Sanctioned World

4. Dying signals: Starlink shutdown and the collapse of command and control.

5. A new era of warfare: Zelenskyy announces that industrial-scale drone warfare is now responsible for 80 percent of the casualties in Ukraine.

6. Blinding the Russian army: systematic destruction of anti-air assets.

7. Nowhere is safe: Ukraine’s reach now extends to Novorossiysk

8. Logistics Under Fire: Railways, Ferries, and Supply Collapse

9. Expanding deep strike doctrine: Russian factories suffer under devastating waves of drone attacks.

Summary and Conclusion

In conclusion, these repeated defeats and the enormous losses Russia continues to incur are unlikely to remain without political consequences.

Slava Ukraine!
